Information you provide
When you submit an inquiry, we collect your name, email address, company, destination, product, viscosity, packaging, quantity, port and any requirements you enter. Please avoid including sensitive personal information in the message.
How we use information
We use inquiry information to respond to requests, prepare quotations and manage business communications. We store inquiries on our server and use Zoho Mail to deliver inquiry notifications and acknowledgements. Where applicable, this processing is necessary to take steps at your request before a contract, or serves our legitimate interests in responding to business inquiries and securing our website. We do not use inquiry submissions to automatically subscribe you to marketing emails.
Local statistics and security
We count successful page requests on our own server to understand which pages are used. The statistics log records the time and page path only: it does not store visitor IP addresses, browser identifiers, referrers or URL query parameters. These counts may include automated traffic and do not identify unique people. We do not install third-party analytics scripts or set analytics cookies.
Separate server security and error logs may contain IP addresses, request information and technical error details. We use these to operate the service, investigate faults and prevent abuse. IP addresses are also used temporarily to limit repeated inquiry submissions.
Administrator login
The document management area uses a secure session cookie for administrator authentication. This cookie is not used for analytics and expires after eight hours or when the administrator logs out.
Service providers and external links
Our hosting provider and Zoho process information to provide hosting and email services. The website server is located in the United States; our business operates in China. Information may therefore be processed outside your country. We do not sell inquiry information. If you choose to contact us through WhatsApp, that service processes the information you send under its own privacy terms.
Retention
The local page statistics log is rotated daily and up to 30 rotated logs are retained. Inquiry and business correspondence is retained for as long as needed to address your request, manage the business relationship and meet applicable recordkeeping obligations. Security records are retained as needed for operational and security purposes. Contact us if you wish to request deletion.
Your choices and rights
Depending on the law applicable to you, you may have rights to access, correct or delete your personal information, restrict or object to processing, or request a copy of your information. Contact lanan@cnfbas.com to make a request. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information where the law requires it. You may also have the right to complain to your relevant data protection authority.
